About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide automotive parts solutions and answers to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
- Deliver outstanding customer care and maintain high energy in a fast-paced retail environment
- Assist team members with technical parts questions using your expertise
- Utilize technology including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalog systems to process transactions
- Engage with customers to ensure a positive and welcoming consumer experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a strong willingness to learn automotive parts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or passion for the automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, or marine industries
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision shop
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
- ASE Certifications
