Store Counter Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive parts solutions and answers to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
• Deliver outstanding customer care and maintain high energy in a fast-paced retail environment
• Assist team members by using parts knowledge to resolve customer inquiries
• Utilize technology including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalog systems to manage transactions
• Engage with customers to ensure a positive and welcoming consumer experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a strong willingness to learn automotive parts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or passion for the automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision shop
• Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
• ASE Certifications
