Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, ensuring minimal voids or shortages
• Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations according to quality standards
• Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
• Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation and replenishing the sales floor
• Support health and safety protocols by maintaining clean and clear walkways and common areas
• Assist donors with unloading contributions and placing stock in appropriate locations

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Previous experience in customer service or the processing/distribution of goods
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 30 lbs frequently
• Ability to perform tasks involving bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of product brands and retail trends
• Experience with retail-related financial processes such as bank deposits and summary reports
