Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit sales
• Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations
• Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and cleaning common areas
• Assist with merchandise displays and window layouts to attract customers
• Monitor store security and adhere to all health and safety policies
• Help unload donations and manage inventory turnover on the sales floor

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or goods distribution
• Knowledge of product brands
