Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately, including cash and debit sales
• Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations and raw materials
• Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and donation turnover
• Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including clearing obstacles and cleaning spills
• Monitor store activity to support security and protect the integrity of donated items

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Previous experience in customer service or the processing/distribution of goods
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
