Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, ensuring minimal voids or shortages
• Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations according to quality standards
• Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays
• Assist with unloading donations and managing inventory turnover on the sales floor
• Contribute to a safe environment by monitoring store activity and maintaining clean, obstacle-free walkways
• Follow all health and safety policies, including proper lifting and cleaning procedures

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Previous experience in customer service or processing/distribution of goods
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently without assistance
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Product brand awareness
• Experience working in a computerized retail environment
