About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a friendly and professional manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit systems
- Sort, price, hang, and organize incoming donations and merchandise
- Maintain store appearance through cleaning, dusting, and organizing displays
- Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and replenishment of the sales floor
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring store activity and maintaining clear exits
- Assist donors with unloading contributions and placing stock in appropriate locations
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Previous experience in customer service or goods processing/distribution
- Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently without assistance
- Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
