About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a friendly and professional manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit systems
- Sort, price, hang, and organize incoming donations and raw materials
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating merchandise displays
- Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation and replenishment of the sales floor
- Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols and maintaining clear exits
- Assist donors with unloading contributions and placing stock in appropriate locations
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Proven experience in cash handling and operating cash registers
- Previous experience in customer service or goods processing/distribution
- Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
