Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, ensuring minimal voids or shortages
• Sort, price, hang, and organize incoming donations to maintain inventory levels
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise presentation to attract customers
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including sweeping, dusting, and clearing obstacles
• Monitor store security and assist with unloading donations from donors
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to undergo applicable background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or goods distribution
• Knowledge of product brands and retail pricing
