Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, adhering to store policies for refunds and voids
• Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations to maintain inventory levels
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise displays to attract customers
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, dusting, and tidying common areas
• Monitor store security and assist with donation turnover and stock rotation
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining clear exits

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or goods distribution
• Knowledge of product brands
• Experience working in a computerized retail environment
