Storage Architect

Responsibilities

• Review and assess enterprise storage architecture across on-premises and cloud environments
• Design scalable, resilient, and high-performance hybrid cloud storage solutions
• Architect and optimize AWS-based storage solutions including Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, EBS, S3, and AWS Backup
• Lead optimization efforts across the NetApp ecosystem, including ONTAP, FlexCache, SnapMirror, and MetroCluster
• Design and troubleshoot high-performance distributed cache architectures using FlexCache
• Develop storage modernization strategies and create architectural standards and best practices
• Partner with cloud engineering and DevOps teams to support infrastructure automation
• Conduct root-cause analysis for complex storage and infrastructure issues

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage architecture and administration
• Deep expertise with NetApp storage technologies and the ONTAP ecosystem
• Proven experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud environments on AWS
• Advanced expertise with NetApp FlexCache implementations and performance optimization
• Strong experience with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and SnapMirror replication
• Proficiency with NFS, SMB/CIFS, and iSCSI storage protocols
• Solid understanding of data lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and high-availability models
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at NetApp, AWS, or a major cloud/storage consulting organization
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect – Professional or Advanced Networking
• NetApp certifications including NCDA, NCTA, or ONTAP certifications
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Python
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, container storage, and DevOps workflows
• Experience supporting AI/ML, EDA, HPC, or large-scale engineering workloads
