Stock Worker

Responsibilities

• Maintain storage and security of laboratory inventory supplies and equipment
• Prepare media and other supplies for distribution throughout the building
• Maintain upkeep of designated laboratory instruments before and after usage
• Receive, sort, accession and deliver STI and HIV specimens to testing laboratory
• Prepare shipping boxes, containers, and documentation
• Package specimens and deliver to courier pickup sites
• Track shipped specimens and communicate tracking numbers to recipients
• Monitor temperatures of cold instruments daily

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of full-time experience or training in a biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory; OR
• Eight credits including laboratory coursework in biology, chemistry, or medical technology
