Stewardship Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of strategies to ensure donors are thanked and their wishes are fulfilled.
• Generate creative stewardship solutions for major and endowment gifts to strengthen constituent relationships.
• Maintain stewardship records for annual, endowed, and other major gift funds.
• Collaborate with the Business Office and campus departments to ensure restricted gifts and scholarships are awarded according to donor intent.
• Coordinate with student scholarship recipients to facilitate expressions of gratitude, such as personal statements or in-person meetings.
• Write, compile, and edit impact reports for donors regarding scholarships and endowments.
• Provide support for donor recognition programs, including giving societies, naming opportunities, and memorials.
• Plan and coordinate logistics for local and national stewardship events.
• Support digital newsletters and other Advancement Office communications.
• Identify and implement industry best practices for stewardship planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or three years of related experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
• Ability to perform work outside normal business hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or a comparably complex organization.
• Background in development, stewardship, or advancement services.
