About the role
Responsibilities
- Scrape, stack, and clean all dishes, flatware, silver, and glassware properly
- Set up and maintain the dish machine, including filling water tanks and heating elements
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen equipment, storage areas, and floors
- Assist with the storage of food deliveries and food preparation according to chef specifications
- Follow daily preparation lists to ensure all items are ready for service
- Report any issues regarding food products, kitchen equipment, or work areas to the Chef or Sous Chef
- Ensure safety by posting appropriate caution signs when floors are wet
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
- ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in wet or hot conditions for extended periods
