About the role
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, including floors, walls, ceilings, and countertops
- Wash and disinfect all kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
- Empty and clean trash containers and ensure proper waste disposal
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, including areas under and behind equipment
- Clean and sanitize sinks, drains, and dishwashing areas
- Remove grease and grime from cooking equipment and ventilation systems
- Deep clean ovens, stoves, grills, and fryers
- Restock cleaning supplies and report maintenance needs
- Follow all health and safety regulations and use PPE correctly
- Ensure the kitchen is left secure with all equipment turned off
Requirements
- Previous experience in kitchen cleaning or janitorial roles
- Knowledge of industrial kitchen cleaning techniques and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good time management skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
