About the role

Responsibilities

  • Clean and stack all dishes, flatware, silver, glass, and kitchen trays properly
  • Store dishes and silver in designated locations
  • Set up and maintain the dish machine, including filling water tanks and heating elements
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen equipment, storage areas, and floors
  • Assist with the storage of food deliveries
  • Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble the dishwasher at the end of shifts
  • Post appropriate caution signs for wet floors to ensure safety
  • Assist with food preparation according to chef specifications
  • Report equipment or product issues to the Executive Steward

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
