Steward

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions and routines for cleaning designated work areas using correct chemicals, tools, and methods
• Collect all necessary cleaning materials and chemicals from storage prior to starting tasks
• Inspect equipment to ensure efficient working condition and correct chemical usage
• Maintain washing temperatures and follow recycling procedures for dish water as directed
• Follow correct handling and storage procedures for all operating equipment to minimize damage
• Adhere to polishing procedures for silver, copper, brass, and other metal items
• Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed
• Maintain accurate records regarding your designated work area
• Assist with other duties as required by the management team

Requirements

• Food Handler's Certification required
• Ability to lift and carry loads weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and chemical usage

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a stewarding or cleaning role
• Prior experience working in a kitchen setting
