Steward

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations
• Clean and properly store all pots, pans, china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen tools
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and as directed
• Restock buffet lines with ice, china, flatware, and glassware as needed
• Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of floors and back-of-house hallways
• Empty trash cans and maintain cleanliness of the loading dock area
• Clean walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins, and storage areas
• Follow all Health Department, sanitation, and safety regulations

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs repetitively
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of a full shift
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work above shoulder level
• Ability to obtain a Virginia Lottery Non-Gaming License
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals
• Ability to wear and tolerate required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous back-of-house restaurant or kitchen experience
