About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Operate and maintain sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and other reprocessing equipment
- Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain accurate logs and documentation
- Assemble, organize, and prepare surgical trays and materials
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of surgical rooms
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards
- Maintain inventory of surgical instruments, supplies, and sterilization materials
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Previous experience in dental, oral surgery, medical, or sterile processing environment preferred
- Experience with sterilization processes and autoclave operation strongly preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
