Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Compound sterile medications following USP 797 standards under pharmacist supervision
• Perform component preparation, solution formulation, aseptic filling, and inspection/packaging of filled units
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleanroom suite support, including equipment calibration, cleaning, and sterilization
• Adhere to all safety and environmental procedures outlined in Site SOPs, including the use of appropriate PPE
• Document all compounding-related and facility activities according to facility SOPs and USP 797 requirements
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists regarding lab issues and utilize equipment as instructed

Requirements

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio
• National Certification (CPhT)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to wear respiratory protection (including N95, full face respirator, or PAPR)
• Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift and perform physical tasks including squatting and bending

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of compounding experience (sterile or non-sterile)
• Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) certification
