About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a structured performance program to introduce beginner dancers to the art of stepping
- Teach fundamental mechanics of synchronization, vocal projection, and rhythmic accuracy
- Prepare students for a High Energy Step Exhibition featuring a memorized routine
- Meet with students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:25pm-3:25pm from September to late May
- Participate in occasional after-school school events and activities
Requirements
- Experience participating in or leading a successful Step Squad
- Ability to teach on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:25pm-3:25pm
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development
- Ability to work as a self-directed learner and implement feedback
