About the role

Responsibilities

  • Engineer steering systems, including Electric Power Steering (EPS) focused on E/E architecture and embedded software
  • Lead development and integration of hardware and software functions, including control strategies, DTC, and signal interfaces
  • Define and manage system requirements for steering E/E architecture and software functionality
  • Define and execute system-level validation plans, including HIL, SIL, and vehicle-level testing
  • Define Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), logging strategies, and event detection requirements
  • Support functional safety (FuSa) requirements, including safety concepts and hazard analysis
  • Support firmware/software release activities, including integration and OTA update readiness
  • Interface with suppliers to ensure alignment on system requirements and deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Engineering Technology
  • 4+ years of experience in steering system development, E/E systems, embedded software, or controls
  • Experience within an OEM or Tier-1 environment
  • Strong understanding of steering system architecture and E/E integration
  • Experience with requirements management, DVP&R, and diagnostics (DTCs)
  • Familiarity with HIL/SIL testing and vehicle calibration
  • Proven ability to manage system-level development activities and program milestones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPS systems and full vehicle integration
