Stationary Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain boilers and chillers for the entire plant
• Troubleshoot and balance air compressors
• Act as first responder to factory leaks
• Install and support new equipment
• Perform soldering and brazing tasks
• Provide secondary support for production needs
• Execute electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase 480-volt systems
• Maintain air handlers and utilize refrigeration gauges
• Thread and install water pipes
• Provide overall infrastructure support

Requirements

• Illinois license to operate boilers
• Certification to handle refrigerants
• Experience with 3-phase 480-volt electrical systems
• Proficiency in soldering and brazing
• Ability to thread and install water pipes
• Familiarity with Trane systems
• Technical degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree or science/engineering discipline preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in safety management or certified safety training
• Background in heating, cooling, and compressed air utilities
