About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain boilers and chillers for the entire plant
- Troubleshoot and balance air compressors
- Act as first responder to factory leaks
- Install and support new equipment
- Perform soldering and brazing tasks
- Provide secondary support for production needs
- Execute electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase 480-volt systems
- Maintain air handlers and utilize refrigeration gauges
- Thread and install water pipes
- Provide overall infrastructure support
Requirements
- Illinois license to operate boilers
- Certification to handle refrigerants
- Experience with 3-phase 480-volt electrical systems
- Proficiency in soldering and brazing
- Ability to thread and install water pipes
- Familiarity with Trane systems
- Technical degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree or science/engineering discipline preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in safety management or certified safety training
- Background in heating, cooling, and compressed air utilities
