Stationary Engineer (4th Class)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical systems including pumps, AHUs, fans, and unit heaters
• Manage start-up, operation, and shutdown of building equipment using Building Automation Systems
• Perform mechanical maintenance such as fan alignment, chiller/heat pump troubleshooting, and compressor maintenance
• Complete preventative maintenance work orders and corrective work orders
• Maintain accurate operating logs and logbook entries
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust plant equipment
• Respond to emergency service calls and coordinate subcontractors
• Assist with the commissioning of new or updated equipment
• Ensure proper use of PPE in mechanical areas

Requirements

• 4th Class Power Engineer certificate
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to hold and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Proficiency in English; French is considered an asset
