About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble DFR stations using advanced electronics, electromechanical assemblies, harnessing, and sheet metal components
- Fabricate components using schematics, diagrams, and written instructions
- Perform precision soldering, wire/cable splicing, and cable installation
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure all builds meet stringent specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, testing results, and repairs
- Travel to customer sites (approximately 50% travel) to perform on-site hardware and software maintenance and repairs
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or repair, specifically with complex electromechanical assemblies
- Proficiency with soldering, cable splicing, and the use of hand, power, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and work instructions
- Experience performing product repairs on-site with customers
- Ability to lift up to 49lbs and stand or sit for extended periods
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time to support customer needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in avionics, electronics, or a related field
- Experience manufacturing UAV/UAS systems or infrastructure for commercial, industrial, or defense applications
- Experience working with networking equipment
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and documentation
