About the Company

The Borlaug Institute for South Asia (BISA) is a non-profit international research institute dedicated to food, nutrition, and livelihood security as well as environmental rehabilitation in South Asia. BISA is a collaborative effort involving CIMMYT and the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the stock register of consumables
• Support station operations with indent, PR, GRN, and SRN processes
• Implement procedures for procurement and disposal of farm produce
• Prepare and maintain production registers and records for seed processing
• Manage vendors following due diligence and compliance
• Ensure timely settlement of bills and invoices
• Support implementation of digital systems for inventory, warehouse, and procurement
• Maintain the BISA-Ludhiana Training Hostel
• Manage fixed asset registers and tagging
• Manage manual registers and QuickBooks software
• Support Seed Production Unit management and sales registers
• Maintain records of inventory and standing crops

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, agriculture, or related field
• Minimum three years of experience in business operations, inventory management, or seed production
• Experience in purchase orders, vendor selection, and procurement documentation
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and inventory management systems
• Strong communication, coordination, and supervisory skills
• Good oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, warehouse operations, or research management
