About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare à la carte orders (cold, meats, fish, etc.) ensuring quality and output times
- Review daily specialties and execute preparations according to instructions
- Prepare and supervise mise en place (cuts, sauces, special ingredients)
- Supervise and assign tasks to cooks and assistants to ensure standards are met
- Control area stock and report low rotation or replenishment needs to the Sous Chef
- Perform shift handovers, communicating completed tasks and relevant observations
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (SST) standards and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience and 3 years in Kitchen
- Technical degree in Gastronomy, Cooking, or related fields
- Availability to work rotating shifts
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen team
- High attention to detail regarding inventory and communication
