Static Stress Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform static structural analysis of aircraft metallic and composite structures using Finite Element Models (FEM)
• Define analysis methodologies and validate FEM models and stress reports
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior stress engineers
• Extract loads, stresses, spectra, and mission files
• Extract material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from drawings
• Support design teams by assessing structural modifications, non-conformities, and engineering changes
• Create FEMs using geometric data from part and assembly drawings
• Prepare stress certification dossiers

Requirements

• More than 5 years of proven experience in static analysis within the aerospace industry
• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field
• Proficiency in MSC Nastran
• Proficiency in Patran or HyperMesh
• Proficiency in CATIA V5
• Fluency in Spanish and a minimum of B1 English level
• Experience working with Aerospace OEMs, Tiers, or Suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Airbus methods and tools
• Proficiency in Python or VBA
• Experience with Excel for engineering applications
