About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform thermal-hydraulic design calculations and analysis for new and existing heat exchangers
- Review and design mechanical aspects of heat exchangers to ensure compliance with standards and operational requirements
- Troubleshoot performance and leakage issues in heat exchangers and recommend effective solutions
- Monitor heat exchanger performance, identify issues, and propose corrective actions
- Review and evaluate vendor design packages for compliance and quality
- Design reboilers and condensers for various process applications
- Apply mechanical design principles for pressure vessels
- Travel up to 10% to sites or vendor fabrication shops
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal and mechanical design of heat exchangers
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical responsible roles within the Oil and Gas industry
- Proven experience in the design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of Shell and Tube, Air-Cooled, and Plate-Type Heat Exchangers
- Strong knowledge of industry standards including TEMA, API 660/661, and ASME Section VIII (Division 1 & 2)
- Proficiency in engineering software tools such as HTRI, ASPEN EDR, Pro-II, HYSYS, and PV-Elite
