About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal-hydraulic design calculations and analysis for new and existing heat exchangers
  • Review and design mechanical aspects of heat exchangers to ensure compliance with standards and operational requirements
  • Troubleshoot performance and leakage issues in heat exchangers and recommend effective solutions
  • Monitor heat exchanger performance, identify issues, and propose corrective actions
  • Review and evaluate vendor design packages for compliance and quality
  • Design reboilers and condensers for various process applications
  • Apply mechanical design principles for pressure vessels
  • Travel up to 10% to sites or vendor fabrication shops

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal and mechanical design of heat exchangers
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical responsible roles within the Oil and Gas industry
  • Proven experience in the design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of Shell and Tube, Air-Cooled, and Plate-Type Heat Exchangers
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards including TEMA, API 660/661, and ASME Section VIII (Division 1 & 2)
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as HTRI, ASPEN EDR, Pro-II, HYSYS, and PV-Elite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Detailed design knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, and valves
