State Transport Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex transport and warehouse operations to meet contracted service outcomes and DIFOTA targets
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, policies, and legislative requirements across the entire operation
• Manage critical resources including labour, fleet, equipment, and facilities to ensure cost-effective operations
• Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, reporting, and cost control initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major customers to achieve service and performance excellence
• Develop team capability through proactive workforce planning and succession development

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within the Transport and Logistics industry
• Proven track record of managing large customer accounts and complex service agreements
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L performance, operational budgets, and reporting
• Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements, specifically including NHVR
• Experience leading diverse teams and developing capability across operations and administration
• Experience working within unionised environments and managing industrial relations
