State and Local Government Consultant

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core team member on consulting projects from initiation through implementation and closeout
• Gather and synthesize information through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and dataset reviews
• Apply critical thinking to identify issues, develop insights, and support client decision-making
• Develop well-structured client deliverables including strategic plans, process flows, and recommendation summaries
• Translate complex information into clear written narratives and visually effective PowerPoint materials
• Support the planning and facilitation of client working sessions and operational meetings
• Perform quality assurance on project deliverables to ensure they meet industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 1+ years of relevant professional experience in consulting, public sector, analytics, or a related role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must reside within 50 miles of Seattle, Tacoma, or Olympia, WA
• Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the West Coast and occasionally outside the state

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting state or local government clients
• Experience with business process improvement, stakeholder engagement, or change management
• Proficiency in performing data analysis to recommend and implement improvements
• Understanding of fundamental financial analysis concepts
• Experience implementing technology systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Workday
