Standby Operator

Responsibilities

• Daily operations of filling and packaging equipment in a production line setting
• Operations of equipment in key areas of dairy processing
• Compliance with New York State regulations, OSHA, and plant safety policies
• Adherence to all plant GMP and sanitation policies
• Maintain and complete required environmental and production paperwork
• Support change over and start up of assigned areas
• Perform general plant cleaning and grounds maintenance

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods (8+ hours)
• Ability to frequently lift 50+ lbs and carry 40-60 lbs
• Ability to frequently bend and push/pull up to 75 lbs
• Ability to work flexible shifts and non-consecutive days off

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
• Basic computer skills
• Strong troubleshooting experience
