Standards & Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end delivery of control systems from specification and design through to commissioning and deployment
• Act as a technical interface between engineering, IT, and operations teams
• Provide hands-on support during commissioning phases and troubleshoot issues in live production environments
• Work with suppliers and external partners to ensure delivery aligns with technical, cost, and quality expectations
• Maintain engineering standards, system documentation, and interface definitions
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities within production control and automation systems
• Ensure manufacturing systems remain reliable, compliant, and aligned with operational requirements

Requirements

• Experience with industrial control systems from specification to deployment
• Background in manufacturing automation or production engineering
• Practical experience with PLCs, robotics systems, CNC programming, or machine electrical design
• Ability to support system commissioning and resolve technical issues in production settings
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to automotive manufacturing or high-volume industrial environments
• Familiarity with robotics or advanced automation systems
• Experience working with suppliers in an engineering delivery context
• Understanding of control system architecture and industrial interface standards
• Knowledge of commissioning, validation, or industrial acceptance testing processes
