Standardized Patients

Responsibilities

• Accurately and consistently portray specific patient types to help medical and health profession students develop clinical skills.
• Simulate all aspects of a patient scenario, including medical history, affect, behavior, and physical findings.
• Prepare and study assigned patient roles for each case or scenario through training and rehearsal.
• Complete checklists and evaluations of student performance accurately and consistently.
• Maintain strict objectivity and confidentiality regarding student interactions and case details.
• Accept and incorporate feedback from supervisors to improve the quality of case simulations.
• Interact professionally with learners, faculty, and staff within the simulated clinical environment.

Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed case scripts and instructions accurately.
• High level of reliability and flexibility regarding schedules and assignments.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
• No formal degree is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous acting experience is a plus, though not required.
