About the role
Responsibilities
- Simulate human patient cases, including medical history, affect, behavior, and physical findings, in a standardized and reliable manner
- Provide written and face-to-face verbal feedback to learners regarding their interpersonal communication skills under faculty direction
- Monitor other Standardized Patients to ensure quality assurance and consistency
- Participate in scenario testing and development prior to simulation-based learning experiences
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding learners and simulation-based learning experiences
- Demonstrate professional behavior, accountability, and teamwork within the simulation program
Requirements
- Specialized Standardized Patient training through the Association of SP Educators (ASPE), OR
- Current Tier 1 SP in the School of Nursing Center for Simulation and Clinical Innovation with 120+ documented hours of experience, OR
- Current Standardized Patient through an approved Standardized Patient program, OR
- Two or more years of theatre performance experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of healthcare theatre experience
