Stamping Die Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform daily set-up, operation, and maintenance repair of high-speed, progressive stamping dies.
• Identify tooling wear and design flaws to ensure optimal quality, performance, and uptime.
• Work with extremely tight tolerances (often .0003” or less) using precision gauges and toolmaker principles.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Communicate technical information effectively to the team regarding equipment status and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Proficiency in basic shop math, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry for angle calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in connector manufacturing.
• Experience with engineering design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
• Journeyman certificate or college education.
