About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communication strategies for major railway projects.
  • Identify and map all relevant stakeholders, including government authorities, operators, and utilities.
  • Coordinate stakeholder inputs to ensure requirements are captured and reflected in design development.
  • Manage engagement activities such as meetings, workshops, and formal submissions.
  • Track stakeholder feedback and approvals to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  • Support the design team in addressing requirements and resolving interface issues.
  • Coordinate with authorities to facilitate approvals, permits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain stakeholder registers, communication logs, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Monitor stakeholder risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record on rail or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience working with government authorities, utilities, and transport operators.
  • Deep understanding of design development processes and stakeholder integration.
  • Experience managing approvals, permits, and regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in stakeholder management or project management.
  • Experience working in the GCC or similar regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
