Stakeholder Coordination Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between the company and Abu Dhabi government authorities, municipalities, and utility providers.
• Manage the end-to-end application, tracking, and issuance of project permits, licenses, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
• Build and maintain professional relationships with key authority representatives to facilitate efficient submission processing.
• Coordinate with design consultants and internal engineering teams to incorporate stakeholder feedback into design development.
• Ensure all project activities comply with Abu Dhabi building codes, municipal regulations, and Estidama requirements.
• Maintain accurate, auditable records of all submissions, approvals, and authority correspondence.
• Provide accurate forecasts of approval lead times to support project planning and scheduling.
• Support the resolution of site-related authority issues during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction or contracting sector.
• Proven track record in authority liaison and permit/approvals management within Abu Dhabi.
• In-depth knowledge of Abu Dhabi building codes, municipal regulations, and NOC procedures.
• Hands-on experience dealing directly with Abu Dhabi authorities (e.g., DMT, ADCD, TAQA, EAD, ADSSC).
• Valid UAE driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a main contractor on Design & Build projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Familiarity with Estidama/Pearl Rating requirements and authority e-submission portals.
• Membership of the Society of Engineers – UAE.
