About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with the running and maintenance of performance venues for productions, concerts, and events
- Load and unload equipment, materials, and road cases from trucks
- Set up lighting, audio, video, and musical equipment, including risers
- Perform spotlight operation and operate sound, lighting, and video boards
- Assist carpenters with scenery installation and work with electricians and lighting designers
- Operate and load weight on the fly rail
- Run cabling, perform tape-outs, and maintain stage and backstage areas
- Serve as run crew for various productions
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move equipment regularly
- Experience working with electrical equipment and power tools
- Knowledge of stage directions and theatrical/venue terminology
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work at heights or on catwalks
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with noise, dim lighting, and varying heights
