Stage Manager

Responsibilities

• Review technical materials including scripts, sound assets, and cue sheets
• Prepare and maintain accurate production cue sheets
• Attend rehearsals and technical recces to align with directors and venue teams
• Operate live shows using QLab 5 to manage video, audio, and images
• Lead live show operations and troubleshoot technical issues during performances
• Act as the primary point of contact between technical crew, actors, and production staff
• Oversee technical elements including lighting, sound, props, and set requirements
• Complete stage manager reports after each show

Requirements

• Based in Sydney or Melbourne with availability to work in person
• Must own and operate a Mac computer
• Advanced working knowledge of QLab (video, audio, and image cueing)
• Proven experience stage managing or operating live performances or events
• Ability to work independently and manage preparation time effectively
• Availability for in-person rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and onboarding meetings
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused under live performance pressure
