Staff/Sr. Staff Engineer, MCU Software

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Wireless IoT based platforms
• Develop ARM-M series and RISC-V RTOS-based platform software, middleware, and APIs
• Triage and debug hardware, firmware, software, and application integration issues
• Implement and optimize real-time networking software stacks
• Work with peripherals such as UART, SPI, SDIO, I2C, GPIO, and PWM
• Work with flash, memory, bootloader, and crypto lib subsystems
• Work with Wi-Fi, BT/BLE, and Zigbee/Thread wireless subsystems
• Collaborate with worldwide teams to deliver high quality BSP and SDK
• Assist with release management for BSP and SDK

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience in embedded software development
• Experience with MCU software development on ESP32 and STM32
• Proficiency in C, C++, and MicroPython
• Proficiency in Wi-Fi APIs, BLE HCI, and Peripheral HAL and Drivers
• Substantial experience with networking stacks (Ethernet, TCP/IP suite)
• Experience with GIT and JIRA
• Strong design, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BT/BLE, Zigbee/Thread)
• Knowledge of IoT application layer protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/HTTPS)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum processes
• Experience with JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Exposure to system testing and root-cause analysis of Wireless IoT products
• Knowledge of WFA, Regulatory, or PSA certification
