Staff/Sr. Staff Engineer, Embedded Firmware

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware for IoT devices targeting ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
• Implement and optimize low-level drivers and integrate with hardware abstraction layers (HAL)
• Develop secure boot and firmware update mechanisms for robust device operation
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and security teams to define firmware features
• Debug, test, and validate firmware using J-Link, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Implement security-focused system design, including memory partitioning and isolation
• Manage secure OTA updates and device lifecycle management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in embedded firmware development for IoT or embedded systems
• Experience with ARM TrustZone and Trusted Firmware-M (TF-M)
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and low-level driver development
• Background in security-related technologies such as cryptography or secure coding
• Familiarity with SDK-based development and RTOS environments (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and debugging tools
