Staff/Principal Systems Architect

Responsibilities

• Define the technology roadmap for the PowerVR GPU family in collaboration with senior leadership
• Investigate, specify, and deliver detailed architectural feature specifications
• Perform deep analysis to meet power, performance, area, and bandwidth (PPA) requirements
• Work with research and modeling teams to map novel algorithms to efficient implementations and evaluate new ideas
• Collaborate with implementation and performance teams to validate completed designs
• Liaise with key customers and industry standards bodies such as Khronos
• Participate in engineering reviews and contribute to patentable inventions

Requirements

• Proven experience with GPU architecture or similarly large, complex systems
• Strong understanding of modern 3D graphics and compute APIs (e.g., Vulkan, D3D12, or OpenCL)
• Understanding of digital ASIC design methodologies and constraints
• Experience independently driving architecture exploration and producing tangible feature specifications
• Ability to communicate technical issues and justify architectural decisions to various audiences
• Strong ability to plan, estimate, and track individual workstreams

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mathematical and algorithmic skills
• Experience in digital video technologies
• Experience writing micro-architecture specifications
• Experience analyzing performance using hardware waves, drivers, or compilers
• Understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO26262
