Responsibilities

• Frame research questions and design experiments to find answers
• Run experiments and manage full-cycle research ownership
• Ship research results into production environments
• Contribute to the development of state-of-the-art foundation models and agentic systems

Requirements

• Experience with foundation models (training, architectures, RL, scaling)
• Expertise in evaluation (benchmarks, LLM-as-judge, failure analysis)
• Knowledge of frontier topics like multimodal models, agents, or world models
• PhD in ML/NLP or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to demonstrate impact through built projects or open-source contributions
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom

Preferred Qualifications

• Published research at ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, EMNLP, ACL, or AAAI
• Experience with tool use and test-time compute
• Proven track record of full-stack research ownership
