Staff/Principal Research Scientist

Responsibilities

• Frame research questions and design experiments to find answers
• Run experiments and analyze results to drive model improvement
• Ship research results into production environments
• Maintain a bias for impact and practical application of research
• Question existing approaches to find better ways to solve core problems

Requirements

• Experience with foundation models (training, architectures, RL, scaling)
• Expertise in evaluation (benchmarks, eval loops, quality measurement)
• Knowledge of frontier topics like multimodal models, agents, or world models
• PhD in ML/NLP or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work with minimal roadmaps
• Full-stack research ownership from framing to shipping

Preferred Qualifications

• Published research at ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, EMNLP, ACL, or AAAI
• Non-trivial AI side projects or open-source contributions
• Experience with tool use and test-time compute
