Staff/Principal Full Stack Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering architecture design reviews and set a high technical bar for the team through code and design reviews
• Mentor engineers and drive technical solutions across multiple teams
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to solve complex technical challenges within the stack
• Build mission-critical services that adhere to high standards for availability and latency
• Improve engineering processes, including long-term technical planning and sprint execution
• Utilize the latest open source technologies to build scalable cloud-based systems

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in full stack software engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proven experience designing and delivering high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems
• Backend expertise in managed languages such as Go, Java, or Scala
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Strong experience with SQL databases and writing maintainable microservices
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our Seattle office (Tuesday–Friday onsite)
