Staff Visual Designer

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Datadog’s visual language across product surfaces and AI-driven experiences
• Establish the visual quality bar for the platform and lead exploratory concept work
• Translate bold visual ideas into scalable patterns that live within the design system
• Partner with Brand, Product Design, and Design Systems to unify expression across product and marketing
• Influence executive stakeholders through clear and compelling visual storytelling
• Prototype, test, and refine new patterns before they are systemized

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in visual and/or product design
• Proven experience leading a meaningful visual evolution or rebrand within a mature product ecosystem
• Ability to translate brand identity into scalable, high-quality product systems
• Strong prototyping and testing skills to validate new design patterns
• Experience influencing and communicating effectively with executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners
• Exceptional visual craft and product thinking demonstrated through a professional portfolio
