Staff Technical Program Manager, Batteries

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of advanced battery systems for wearables from concept through launch
• Align cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing
• Build and maintain schedules, map dependencies, and manage risks
• Provide progress and strategy updates to executives and engineering partners
• Oversee integration between battery supplier deliverables and product development needs
• Drive testing and validation of battery performance, reliability, and safety standards
• Ensure battery compliance across all markets and logistics chains
• Establish best practices for battery program execution and mentor senior team members

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in NPI Hardware development build and test cycles
• Proven track record shipping products with custom battery systems
• Strong technical depth in battery technologies and power systems
• Knowledge of battery test methodology at cell and system levels
• Experience authoring requirements with engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Willingness to travel globally up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with global battery suppliers and contract manufacturers
• Proficiency with PM tools like Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet
