Staff Tech, Engineering Project Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, documentation, and process support to software and systems engineers
• Edit and format software/systems documentation and verify change requests
• Serve as a process and tool expert for engineering design teams, including MS Office and requirements databases
• Interface with engineers and managers to create, edit, and maintain project documentation
• Collect metrics and prepare presentation materials for analysis
• Support the Bid & Proposal process by assisting with bid narratives and reviews
• Track action items and tasks within the change management process
• Coordinate project/program team interactions to communicate schedule and status

Requirements

• AA/AS degree or equivalent 2-year post-high school training
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and O365 Outlook
• Experience working effectively in collaborative team environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering metrics collection and RLPM processes
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, DOORS, or SharePoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
