Staff Systems Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicists to translate research findings into initial performance requirements and system specifications
• Analyze and align system requirements with scientific understandings to develop verification and validation test plans
• Oversee subsystem integration and conduct system-level testing to refine protocols
• Develop and manage key performance parameters and provide engineering support based on empirical research
• Lead data-driven trade studies for design and material selection
• Work hands-on in a hardware-in-loop environment to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability
• Design, deploy, and manage automated testing and deployment processes
• Develop Graphical User Interfaces for advanced control and troubleshooting of hardware

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a development role
• Proven experience in complex hardware and software integration leading to production readiness
• Experience bringing systems through a complete development cycle and increasing technological readiness levels
• Experience with hardware-focused software development, including test scripting, telemetry monitoring, and remote instrumentation
• Familiarity with embedded software programming and FPGA development

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Engineering or a related field
• Extensive experience in system design and assembly within high-precision technological fields
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, MATLAB, or similar programming languages
• INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification or similar
• Experience with telemetry streaming platforms like Grafana
• Proficiency in model-based engineering practices and technical performance tracking
